பிரபலங்கள் இல்லை… டிஜிட்டல் வெளியீடும் இல்லை… ‘என்ன விலை’ திரைப்படத்தின் முதல் பார்வையை வெளியிட்ட கிராமம்!*
இன்றைய காலகட்டத்தில் திரைப்படங்களின் முதல் பார்வையை பெரும்பாலும் பிரபலங்களோ அல்லது டிஜிட்டல் தளங்களிலோ வெளியிடுகின்றனர். ஆனால், இதற்கு மாறாக ’என்ன விலை’ திரைப்படக் குழு வித்தியாசமான முறையில் படத்தின் பெரும்பாலான காட்சிகள் படமாக்கப்பட்ட தனுஷ்கோடி அருகிலுள்ள பாலம் கிராம மக்களை வைத்து முதல் பார்வையை வெளியிட்டனர். படப்பிடிப்பு முழுவதும் தங்களை அன்புடன் வரவேற்று ஆதரவு கொடுத்த அந்த கிராம மக்களே ஒன்றுகூடி, ’என்ன விலை’ திரைப்படத்தின் ஃபர்ஸ்ட் லுக்கை வெளியிட்டனர். இது வெறும் விளம்பர நிகழ்வாக இல்லாமல் கிராம மக்களுக்கு நன்றி செலுத்தும் நிகழ்வாக மாறியது.

கலாமயா சினிவர்ஸ் சார்பில் ஜித்தேஷ் விஸ்வம்பரன் மற்றும் அனு கோபால் வேணுகோபாலன் தயாரித்திருக்கும் ’என்ன விலை’ திரைப்படத்தை சஜீவ் பாழூர் எழுதி இயக்கியுள்ளார். சமூக, அரசியல் பின்னணியில் உருவாகியுள்ள இந்த குடும்ப த்ரில்லர் திரைப்படத்தில் கருணாஸ், நிமிஷா சஜயன் ஆகியோர் முதன்மை கதாபாத்திரங்களில் நடித்துள்ளனர். மேலும் ஒய்.ஜீ. மகேந்திரன், பூர்ணிமா பாக்யராஜ், மோகன் ராம், லொள்ளு சபா சுவாமிநாதன், கவிதாலயா கிருஷ்ணன், தீபா சங்கர், மொட்டை ராஜேந்திரன், நக்கலைட்ஸ் கவி உள்ளிட்ட பலர் முக்கிய கதாபாத்திரங்களில் நடித்துள்ளனர்.
தாதாசாகேப் பால்கே சர்வதேச திரைப்பட விழாவில் சிறந்த திரைக்கதைக்கான விருதை இந்தத் திரைப்படம் வென்று பெருமை சேர்த்துள்ளது. இதனால், படத்தின் திரையரங்கு வெளியீட்டிற்கான எதிர்பார்ப்பும் மேலும் அதிகரித்துள்ளது.
தயாரிப்பாளர் ஜித்தேஷ் பகிர்ந்து கொண்டதாவது, “ஒவ்வொரு திரைப்படத்திற்கும் ஒரு தொடக்கம் உண்டு. ஆனால் நன்றியுணர்வோடு தொடங்கும் வாய்ப்பு சில படங்களுக்கு மட்டுமே கிடைக்கும். பெரும்பாலான படங்களின் ஃபர்ஸ்ட் லுக் பிரபலங்களாலோ அல்லது டிஜிட்டல் தளங்களிலோ வெளியாகிறது. ஆனால், இந்தத் திரைப்படத்திற்கு அளவற்ற அன்பும் ஆதரவும் கொடுத்த பாலம் கிராம மக்களே எங்கள் படத்தை உலகிற்கு அறிமுகப்படுத்த வேண்டும் என்று நாங்கள் விரும்பினோம். இது ஒரு விளம்பர நிகழ்வு மட்டுமல்ல, அவர்களுக்கு நாங்கள் தெரிவித்த மனமார்ந்த நன்றியாகும்” என்றார்.
இயக்குநர் சஜீவ் பழூர் பகிர்ந்து கொண்டதாவது, “ஒரு திரைப்படத்தை உருவாக்கும் போது கதைக்கான இடத்தை தேர்வு செய்வோம். ஆனால், சில நேரங்களில் அந்த இடமும், அங்கு வாழும் மக்களும் அந்தக் கதையின் ஓர் அங்கமாகவே மாறிவிடுகின்றனர். ‘என்ன விலை’ திரைப்படத்தின் படப்பிடிப்பு நடந்த பாலம் கிராம மக்கள் எங்களை குடும்பமாக அரவணைத்தனர். உலகம் முழுவதும் உள்ள ரசிகர்களைச் சந்திப்பதற்கு முன், இந்த திரைப்படம் முதலில் அவர்களுக்கே சொந்தமானதாக இருக்க வேண்டும் என்று நாங்கள் நினைத்தோம். இந்த ஃபர்ஸ்ட் லுக் வெளியீடு ஒரு நிகழ்ச்சி மட்டுமல்ல, என்றென்றும் எங்களுக்கு மகிழ்ச்சியான நினைவு” என்றார்.

In an era where film promotions are largely driven by celebrity unveilings and digital launches, the team of Enna Vilai chose to celebrate something far more meaningful gratitude.
Instead of inviting a star to unveil the film’s first look, the makers returned to Paalam Village in Dhanushkodi, where a major portion of the film was shot, and entrusted the honour to the very people who had welcomed them with open arms throughout the filming process.
The villagers, who had become an inseparable part of the journey behind Enna Vilai, gathered together to unveil the film’s first look in a heartfelt celebration. What unfolded was not merely a promotional event, but a tribute to a community whose warmth, hospitality and unwavering support left an indelible mark on the entire team.
The evening came alive with traditional cultural performances by the villagers, followed by the much-awaited first-look unveiling, where the entire community participated in introducing the film to the world. The celebrations continued with interactions between the cast, crew and villagers, memorable group photographs, and a traditional village feast, turning the occasion into a joyful homecoming.
Produced by Kalamaya Films under the banner of Githesh V, Enna Vilai is written and directed by Sajeev Pazhoor. The socio-political family thriller stars Karunaas and Nimisha Sajayan in the lead, alongside Y. Gee. Mahendran, Poornima Bhagyaraj, Mohan Ram, Lollu Sabha Swaminathan, Kavithalayaa Krishna, Deepa Shankar, Mottai Rajendran, Nakkalites Kavi and a strong ensemble cast.
The film has already earned the Best Screenplay Award at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival, further strengthening the anticipation surrounding its theatrical release.
Producer Githesh V says, “Every film has a beginning, but very few get the opportunity to begin with gratitude. While many first looks are unveiled by celebrities or through digital campaigns, we wanted ours to be introduced by the people who quietly became a part of our journey. The villagers of Paalam welcomed us with immense warmth and made us feel at home throughout the shoot. We felt it was only right that this honour belonged to them. More than a promotional event, this was our heartfelt way of saying ‘thank you’.”
Director Sajeev Pazhoor says, ”As filmmakers, we often borrow places to tell our stories. But sometimes, those places and the people living there become a part of the story itself. During the making of Enna Vilai, the people of Palm embraced us like family. Before the film reaches audiences across the world, we wanted it to first belong to the people who stood beside us from the very beginning. This first-look launch was not just an event, it was an emotion we wanted to cherish forever.”
