MARIA MOVIE REVIEW

MARIA MOVIE REVIEW :

The heroine SaiShri Prabhakaran, a nun, comes to her relative’s house for a vacation. After staying there for a few days, she wants to leave the nun’s life and live a normal life like other women. But her family refuses to accept this and throws her out of the house. Due to this, she hates Christianity and decides to travel with a group of Satanists who are against it. How her decision changes her life, what is Satanism? What is its background? ‘Maria’ is a detailed explanation of how her decision changes her life, what is Satanism? What is its background?

SaiShri Prabhakaran, who plays the heroine of the story, has played a controversial role with courage. The one who has acted emotionally in scenes expressing the emotions of a woman carries the entire film on his shoulders.

Paval Navageethan, who plays the leader of the Satanic cult group, has spoken well throughout the film. He has added strength to his character by speaking side-by-side dialogues without any hesitation.

Sidhu Kumaresan, who plays the heroine’s relative, Vignesh Ravi, who plays her lover, Balaji Velan, Sudha Pushpa, Abhinaya, and others who have played other roles have done their job flawlessly.

The music by composers Aravind Gopala Krishnan and Bharat Sudarshan has gone along with the scenes. Although the scenes without dialogue are long, the background music has gone along with it lively.

Cinematographer Mani Shankar.ji has shot the scenes with the available light without additional lighting. Although the story takes place inside a house, the camera angles are manipulated in such a way that the audience’s attention is focused on the characters’ acting and body language so that the audience does not feel that feeling.

Although the film moves at a snail’s pace with a slow-moving screenplay and long scenes, the editors Kamesh.K and Nishal Sherif.A have done a good job of conveying the director’s message to the audience.

Written and directed by Hari K.Suthan, it must be said that he has criticized a religion more than boldly speaking about a controversial issue. The director, who has emphasized the idea that Christianity forces a woman to be a nun, has spoken in favor of the religion of Satan and people like Lucifer.

As a film that talks about the mind and feelings of a woman, the first half is a film that attracts attention as it moves. At the same time, in the second half, director Hari K. Sudan weakens the film by taking an alternative route, with the story of a woman longing for sexual intercourse but, when she cannot get it, rejecting religion and taking a different path. He has tarnished Mother Mary, who is worshipped by all religions, regardless of religion.
